Mapuche Community Member, Underground since 2012, Detained due to Medical Issues.

Paulino Levipan Collan, young Mapuche of the Wente Winkul Mapu community, is in serious condition in Temuco Hospital.

Paulino Levipan participated in the Angol prison hunger strike in 2012, and after having been released from prison, he went in hiding from the police. That is, until May 5th 2015, when he decided to admit himself to hospital in the town of Victoria, since he had been suffering from strong migraines from a recent police beating at the time of his arrest 15 days earlier.

Paulino Levinao, was then transferred overnight to Temuco Hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, and is under police surveillance. According to the information given by hospital administration, he is in serious condition, as well as unable to recognize visitors according to family and friends.
